Deputy Division Director

Regular Full-Time


Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, cost, and technical performance of division programs. Participates in negotiating and preparing contracts by considering the financial conditions, resources, and contractual requirements.. Assists Division Director in developing new business and expanding business efforts when possible. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of peers and subordinates assigned to program from various teams and companies.

Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to program teams regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Assists in the preparation of proposals to win new programs. Has a wide and comprehensive understanding of both general and specific aspects of the job. Is capable of working on complex problems and exceptions without supervision.

Performs program management activities harmonizing development, integration, test, security, deployment activities. Responsible for metrics collection and reporting.


  • Responsible for scheduling; assigning staff, allocating resources
  • Assesses risk and its management
  • Tracks status of cost, schedule, and performance metrics across the division
  • Monitors contract deliverables and program schedules
  • Gets work done through cooperation with other divisions with no direct reporting relationship to position
  • Updates division staff and keeps all stakeholders informed of progress and any issues which may arise
  • Organizes ad hoc discussions or teams to solve time critical issues


Experience Requirements


  • Minimum of ten years’ experience in DoD and Project Management
  • Experience interfacing with senior federal and military personnel
  • Experience managing multiple contracts and developing Performance Work Statements (PWS) and Statements of Work (SOW) a plus
  • Ability to achieve and maintain a SECRET security clearance at a minimum, current active clearance a plus

Educational Qualifications

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Management, or other Business/ Technical related field. A Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
    • Quality Management and Export Compliance Certified

Supervises team leads and site managers as assigned

Physical Demands

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.  Frequently uses hands/fingers for handling and working with small objects.  Seeing up close, must not be color blind and must be able to wear protective eye wear.  It is Katmai Government Service, LLC’s business philosophy and practice to provide reasonable accommodations, according to applicable state and federal laws, to all qualified individuals with physical or mental disabilities.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an office environment the majority of the time.  Long hours may be needed by project demand.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week.  May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
