Overview

The CAS has a support contract with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) in Washington DC to support a wide variety of security programs including INFOSEC, OPSEC, PERSEC, and CYBERSEC.  The office provides development and interpretation of NNSA security policy and assists with policy implementation across the NNSA Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE).  This position supports NA-70 in the execution of its responsibilities.

 


 

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, directs and evaluates the work of assigned staff to ensure that the team meets Task Order (TO) defined technical and administrative performance requirements
  • Manages the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and Task Order and administrative reporting
    • Tracks all assigned tasks to completion
    • Ensures team work product and performance meet requirements of the TO
    • Ensures timely delivery of tasks
    • Ensures quality controls have been performed prior to delivery
  • Coordinates daily, or as necessary, with the NNSA designated Program Office Representative (POR) to ensure work assignments/schedules meet requirements of POR
    • Provides work schedules to POR
    • Ensures POR approves of any work requests made from customers
  • Provides assistance to team members in the execution of their assignments to include backup in their absence
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 Experience Requirements

 

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience as an Site Security Officer (SSO) a strong plus.
  • Requires considerable judgment, tact, discretion and initiative.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures with a particular field.
  • Wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline, or area of specialty. In lieu of degree, relevant work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

Special Skills

 

  •  Individual must possess either a DOE Q clearance or a DoD Top Secret clearance.  Five year update for such clearance must have been acted on within past four years.

 

 

Supervisory

 

  • Communicates directly with clients and/or other contractor personnel, and effectively allocates resources.

 

 

 

Physical Demands

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to focus; occasional walking or standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 30 pounds.  Moderate to extended periods of office work with heavy periods of computer usage. May be assigned occasional to moderate periods of analytical tasks requiring extensive reasoning abilities. Work Environment

Work is primarily performed in a professional office setting, including the normal office equipment (e.g., computer, fax machines, copier) and with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week.  May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
