Perform business development and proposal management. 



Business Development Associate (Sales):

  • Identifies and pursues business development opportunities primarily focused on supporting the US Federal Government.
  • Develop sales by making initial presentation; explain advantages of being an ANC 8(a) company; explain product and services offerings; provide relevant past performance examples to audience.
  • Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; scheduling appointments.
  • Develop marketing and presentation materials and maintain presentation library.
  • Monitor FBO for potential opportunities.
  • Participate in the development of sources sought responses.
  • Develop Cost/Price templates and models.
  • Provide analysis of RFP revisions and amendments.
  • As directed by the VP Business Development, provide business/proposal development support to the Division Directors.
  • Develop agendas and capture minutes for management meetings.
  • Develop input for Teaming Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
  • The business Development Associate will travel as required to contract sites, site visits, partner offices, and on other company business.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable discipline. MBA is preferred.
  • 7+ or more years of relevant Federal Acquisition related work experience preferably with an 8(a) company
  • Pricing/price analysis experience is desirable.
  • Must be able to close the deal!
  • Knowledge of the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program.
  • Adept at establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
  • High energy, goal oriented, striving for excellence.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives at one time.
  • Demonstrated Federal Government acquisition experience (DoD preferred).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of a professional services organization, Government contracting, and federal acquisition regulations (FAR, DFARS, etc).
  • Expert computer skills with advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite software.




Physical Demands

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to focus; occasional walking or standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 10 pounds.  Moderate to extended periods of office work with heavy periods of computer usage. May be assigned occasional to moderate periods of analytical tasks requiring extensive reasoning abilities. Work Environment

Work is primarily performed in a professional office setting, including the normal office equipment (e.g., computer, fax machines, copier) and with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week.  May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project. Travel may be required.
